With our hometown atmosphere, Katy is a close-knit Community where neighbor sustains neighbor. The key to this sense of community is
the strength of our local churches. Long known as the "City of Churches" and having a strong Ministerial Alliance, Katy is assured that its congregations are united in the common goal of serving the needs of the Katy
community.
Each year a different church is chosen to host the annual Thanksgiving service. A choir is chosen to sing at the annual 4th of July celebration. A coalition
of 18 churches works together as the Katy Christian Ministries in an outreach to those with basic human needs. Katy's diverse religious congregations continually commit their time, talents, and resources to create a fellowship
of service to the community.
Katy has a long history of fellowship among its churches. In the very beginning, when there were too few families from every faith to form more than one
congregation, all of the families from every faith gathered together for worship. Years later, when congregations of different faiths were formed, this bond of closeness continued, and is encouraged even today. No matter what
faith you wish to worship with, you will find a church with a friendly atmosphere in our "City of Churches".
